Gloucestershire–Warwickshire Steam Railway
Hop on board a heritage steam or diesel train between Cheltenham and Broadway for Bricks Bricks and More Bricks on the Gloucestershire–Warwickshire Steam Railway this Easter weekend – with kids going free. Stop at Winchcombe to admire impressive brick displays created by talented model builders, or have a go at making your own at Toddington station.

Cotswold Farm Park
The Easter Garden at Cotswold Farm Park near Guiting Power is new for 2026, with a Spring Trail where kids can hunt for egg-shaped friends to win a tasty prize. There’s also free face painting, the Hop, Snap and Smile Selfie Trail, and plenty of baby lambs and kids to see on the farm. You can upgrade to an Ultimate Easter Garden ticket too to add on extra craft activities.

Blenheim Palace
Blenheim Palace’s Easter Eggstravaganza brings the joys of spring to the palace’s Walled Garden. There are lots of activities for children including a giant wicker egg trail, circus skills classes, vintage fairground rides and a visit from the Easter Bunny. And if you’re feeling brave, you can visit the Zoolab big top tent to get up close to snakes, tarantulas, giant snails and more.

Sudeley Castle
With 10 gardens full of beautiful blooms, spring is a great time to visit Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe. During the Easter holidays, kids can Hunt the Queen’s Hare and find a treat by following a trail of golden eggs through the palace grounds. And over Easter weekend, Queen Elizabeth I and her travelling court come to town for a family-friendly show full of Tudor mischief.

Berkeley Castle
Head back in time to the 17th century and the days of the English Civil War this Easter at Berkeley Castle to the west of the Cotswolds. The castle welcomes King Charles II at the Races as the ‘Merry Monarch’ comes to see his soldiers march before a thrilling horse race around the grounds. There are also ‘have a go’ dancing sessions where visitors can learn some period moves.

Batsford Arboretum
Join in the Big Batsford Bunny Hunt this Easter in the Cotswolds and track down the Easter Bunny’s helpers who’ve gone missing among the trees. Batsford Arboretum is open all through Easter weekend, with 60 acres of rare trees and shrubs, including beautiful cherry blossoms. These normally bloom in late April, but recent warm weather means they may well be early.

Westonbirt Arboretum
Spring brings fresh, green leaves and colourful flowers to Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury. Hunt out signs of new life and take part in fun activities on the Best Kept Secrets Trail (all ages). Find the oldest and biggest trees on a Champion Tree Family Walk (ages 9–14). Or get an insight into the Secret World of Flowers with free journal-making workshops (all ages).

Painswick Rococo Garden
The enchanting Painswick Rococo Garden is the only surviving Rococo garden left in the UK, and it gets an extra dose of magic this spring for its Egg-stra Fun Family Trail. The trail winds through the gardens, with curious creatures hidden among the trees, fountains and follies. You can also take part in a series of playful family challenges and decorate your own magical egg.

Birdland Park and Gardens
Dozens of eggs are expected to be laid during Egg-citing Easter at Birdland in Bourton-on-the-Water. As well as meeting the park’s penguins, parrots and flamingos, you can go back in time to hunt for dinosaurs in the Jurassic Journey trail and Dino Dig. Or try the Easter Challenge Quiz, with eggs hidden around the park and quiz questions to put your bird knowledge to the test.

Over Farm
Over Farm near Gloucester is putting on an action-packed Easter Eggstravaganza full of fun family activities. As well as access to the farm park and the chance to meet the animals, there are special events on certain dates, including circus skills workshops, Barnyard Bonanza live shows, Easter egg hunts with the Easter Bunny and fluffy creatures in Little Paws Petting Corner.

Cotswold Country Park and Beach
The Easter Bunny’s eggs have escaped around the Cotswold Country Park and Beach, and it’s up to young adventurers to find them. Solving puzzles and using riddles as clues, kids will search across the park on The Great Eggscape Easter Trail to discover the missing eggs and earn themselves a chocolate treat. You can also book activities like mini golf or boat hire at the park.

Cleeve Common
Enjoy the fresh air this Easter with a walk around Cleeve Common, the highest point in the Cotswolds with views for miles on a clear day. The spring-themed Good Friday Spring Trail starts at Cleeve Hill Golf Course and follows a mile-long circular route. There are puzzles to solve along the way, and if make your way back to the starting point you win an (edible) prize.

National Trust properties
Join in an egg hunt this Easter at National Trust properties around the Cotswolds. Each of these family-friendly events has a trail to follow to win a chocolate egg, with activity stations featuring games and challenges to complete – including mosaic-making at Chedworth Roman Villa, puppet theatre at Snowshill Manor and characters from famous children’s tales at Hidcote.

Woodchester Mansion
Mysterious unfinished Victorian Gothic Woodchester Mansion south of Stroud reopens for the season on Good Friday with an Easter family event. The Easter Trail takes kids through this fascinating building, uncovering secrets, cracking codes and solving puzzles to earn a chocolate egg prize. There are also miles of walking routes around Woodchester Park to explore.

Gloucester Cathedral
Celebrate Easter at Gloucester Cathedral with a series of special services, including on Palm Sunday when Puzzle the Donkey leads a procession to the cathedral. There’s also a family-friendly Secret Easter Garden Trail where you can find flowers hidden around the cathedral, Spring into Easter: Family Activity Days in the gardens and new guided tours of the Cloister.

Cogges Manor Farm
Head down the rabbit hole to the Alice in Wonderland-themed Easter Fun event at Cogges Manor Farm near Witney. Meet the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts, see a baking demonstration on a 200-year-old range and hunt for knitted rabbits hidden in the historic Manor House. Then head out to the farm to meet fluffy chicks and lambs, and hunt for Easter eggs in the straw.

Fairytale Farm
At Fairytale Farm outside Chipping Norton, their Eggs-traordinary Easter Adventure features a busy schedule of Easter activities and new attractions. Highlights include Easter riddle challenges, garden games, face-painting and chick and bunny-themed crafts at the Creation Station.
